Troubleshooting

For Konica Minolta related issues, please contact 1-800-263-4410.

Unable to Print (Mac)

1) Installing Drivers

Installing printer drivers is completed through the “Self Service” application. Drivers are available based on your location, if you are at a new school, you will need to download the drivers for that school (Ex. DEO-Copiers @ DEO, EME-Copiers @ EME). Once you install them, please confirm that the printer you are wanting to use is your default printer (see below).

2) Please restart your computer

Restarting your computer will establish a connection between our system and your device. This will let any changes we have made on our end be applied to your device and may solve your issue.

3) Please try performing a MacOS update

Click on the Apple Icon in the top left corner. Click on about this mac. Click on Software Update and the status will pop up. After updating, restart your device. Afterwards, please check self-serve for Printers.

4) Confirming “SD42 Enterprise” Wi-Fi connection

Please confirm you are on the “SD42 Enterprise” Wi-Fi network, and not “SD42 BYOD”.
On your Mac, choose Apple menu > System Settings, then click Network in the sidebar. View the network connection status on the right. > Confirm “SD42 Enterprise”

5) Setting default printers

On your Mac, choose Apple menu > System Settings, then click Printers & Scanners in the sidebar. (You may need to scroll down.)
Click the “Default printer” pop-up menu on the right, then choose an option. If you want the same printer to always be the default printer, choose that printer.
The default printer doesn’t change even after you print to a different printer. If you want the default printer to be the one you printed to last, choose “Last Printer Used”.

NOTE:
Your Mac remembers the printer you used based on the Wi-Fi You’re connected to. For example, the printer you used last might change depending on whether you’re at home or at work.
