On Tuesday, June 20, the Maple Ridge – Pitt Meadows School District will be honouring retiring staff during a special ceremony at Garibaldi Secondary starting at 3:30 p.m.

On February 24, 2017, the Ministry of Education announced funding for a new elementary school in the Albion area of Maple Ridge. The school is scheduled to open September 2019.

Like other school districts across the province, starting September 2016 the Maple Ridge – Pitt Meadows School District worked with the local health authority to conduct district-wide testing of water quality at all school facilities. The tests, which were processed and evaluated by an independent lab, were designed to detect potentially elevated levels of lead at these water sources. (more…)

The Maple Ridge – Pitt Meadows Board of Education recently asked local MLA candidates a series of education-related questions in advance of the May 9, 2017, provincial election. Seven of the nine candidates in the ridings of Maple Ridge-Pitt Meadows and Maple Ridge-Pitt Meadows responded to the questions by our deadline. Click here to read their responses.

In Canada, the national Day of Mourning is observed on April 28 each year to remember workers who have been killed, injured or suffered occupational disease on the job. 

Last year in British Columbia 144 workers lost their lives to workplace injury or disease.  

Please join us in paying tribute to fallen workers and raising awareness about creating healthy and safe workplaces.

Kindergarten Late Registration start date has been changed from Wednesday, March 1, 2017 to Wednesday, March 29, 2017. The late registration process now begins at noon on March 29 on the parent portal.
