Garibaldi Secondary introduced an International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme (MYP) in September 2017.
Designed for students in grades 8-10, the internationally-recognized curriculum delivers a breadth and depth of understanding through eight main subject categories: language acquisition, language and literature, individuals and societies, sciences, mathematics, arts, physical and health education, and design.
IB Middle Years also prepares younger learners to meet the rigorous academic challenges of the IB certificate and diploma programs at Garibaldi, one of only 14 IB-designated schools in the province.
