Ridge Meadows RCMP are investigating a suspicious incident that occurred at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 19, 2015 on Ritchie Avenue near 228th Street, directly behind the McDonald’s restaurant on the corner of Lougheed and 228th Street.
A group of children were near the street, when a male driving a black pickup truck on Ritchie near 228th called out to one of them. This frightened the child, who ran to a neighbour’s home as she did not recognize the man. The male did not get out of the truck or make any physical attempt to make contact with the child, but police would like to speak with him to understand his intentions.
The person is described as an East Indian male, between 50 and 60 years of age, with a grey beard, wearing a red turban. The truck is a newer model, extended cab.
Police are asking for the driver to come forward, or for anyone with any information on who may have been that driver to call Ridge Meadows RCMP at PH# 604.463.6251.
