2018 Leaders of Tomorrow: Lucas Holbrook – MRE

Lucas Holbrook is a student who problem solves without prompting.

He is curious, motivated, respectful and has a great sense of humour. He also always looks at both sides of an issue and has a strong sense of fairness and justice. Reliable, responsible, empathetic and well-liked, Lucas is observant and is the kind of student who takes the initiative to help without waiting to be asked.

He is enthusiastic about learning, takes part in all discussions, and his questions are always enlightening and demonstrate his thirst for learning. Lucas has taken on many leadership roles in school from participating on a variety of sports teams, to playing the lead roles in several musicals, to helping many of our primary students.  He’s able to accomplish all this while still achieving high academic results.

About Leaders of Tomorrow

The Maple Ridge – Pitt Meadows School District (SD42) has teamed up with the Maple Ridge News to celebrate local students who are making a difference at school and in the community. Elementary and secondary students featured as Leaders of Tomorrow were picked by their principals for making positive achievements in academics, sports, arts and community involvement.

The list is just a sample of outstanding students in the school district selected by their school during the 2017/18 school year – there are many others who were equally deserving of recognition for their exemplary achievements both inside and outside the classroom.

Every Tuesday throughout the school year, SD42 will profile a student selected as one of the 2018 Leaders of Tomorrow.
