Superintendent’s Public Response to the Secondary Schedule Engagement

During the 2024/25 school year, district leaders fulfilled the district’s commitment to engage in a comprehensive and transparent process to explore secondary schedules across our district. I want to thank the working group and the school-based teams for designing and implementing a thorough engagement process that centred the voices of students, staff, and families. The consultation framework, criteria, and engagement activities were shared publicly from the outset, ensuring an open and informed process for our community. (more…)

Dear families,

With Halloween just around the corner, I wanted to once again take a moment to remind students, families, and staff about the need to be thoughtful and inclusive if selecting a costume to be worn at school. The choice of costume should always be respectful of the diverse cultural and lived experiences of all the members of our school communities and should align with the district’s stated commitment to inclusion, anti-racism, and equity. Reactivation date for parent/guardian MyClass accounts

September 8, 2025 10:09 AM

Dear parent/guardian,

MyClass (MyEducation BC) parent/guardian accounts will be reactivated by 4 p.m. on Wednesday, September 10, 2025.

If you already have a MyClass account, you can log in using your existing ID and password. If your password has expired, you will be prompted to create a new one. If you don’t remember your username/login ID or password, follow these steps:

Click the “Trouble logging in?” link on the login screen to recover your username or password.

  • To retrieve your login ID, enter the primary email address you provided during your child’s initial school registration. Please note: This may be different from the email you currently use to log in to the Parent Portal.
  • To reset your password, enter your login ID.

If you are a parent new to the district, your login details will be emailed to you by 4 p.m. on September 10, 2025. The information will be sent to the primary email address you provided to the school during registration.

Reminder: Passwords for all MyClass accounts automatically expire after 90 days, unless your account is linked to your BC Services Card. This is the only way to avoid having your password reset every 90 days. Resources to help you link your MyClass account to your BC Services Card are available here: https://myedbc.sd42.ca/myclass/#tab-10913

MyClass has a new look

The MyClass parent/guardian interface has been updated. The new design features a consolidated menu that makes it easier to find key information, including:

  • Assignments (including due dates)
  • Attendance (daily and class)
  • Classes (current year)
  • Calendar (upcoming course events/tasks)
  • Published reports (report cards)

To view more detailed information – such as previous transcripts and course requests – you can switch to the full website view, which remains unchanged. You can also now access MyClass on your computer, smartphone, or tablet.

Learn how to navigate the new interface in the attached Parent Brochure or on the district website, which has a page translate option in the top right menu.
