The What We Heard report from the Secondary Schedule Consultation has now been updated to include the working group’s recommendations for Maple Ridge Secondary, Pitt Meadows Secondary, Samuel Robertson Technical, Thomas Haney Secondary, and Westview Secondary. The recommendation for each school appears at the end of its respective section in the full report.
The working group – made up of representatives from secondary administration, human resources, Indigenous education, learning services, safe and caring schools, and communications – reviewed the consultation data and other relevant information to develop school-specific recommendations based on the following criteria outlined in the engagement framework: manageable student workload, manageable staff workload, support for student success, support for positive connections, and responsiveness to diverse learning needs.
As shared previously, Garibaldi Secondary must remain on the linear schedule to maintain its alignment with the International Baccalaureate program.
