2026/27 Proposed District School Calendars

At the January 14, 2026, public meeting, the Board of Education received for information the following proposed calendars and approved that they be shared with the public for feedback:

  • 2026/27 Proposed District School Calendar (including Online Learning)
  • 2026/27 Proposed Kanaka Creek Elementary School Calendar

The proposed calendars are available for review below.


Our online survey is open from January 15, 2026, to February 16, 2026 (4 p.m.).

 

Feedback will be reviewed by senior staff and the proposed calendars will be adjusted if required and submitted to the Board of Education for approval at the March 4, 2026, public meeting.

* Please note: Proposed 2027/28 and 2028/29 calendars will go out for public consultation in spring 2026.

2026/27 Proposed District School Calendars
Kanaka Creek Elementary; Regular and Online Learning

2026/27 Proposed District School Calendar (including Online Learning)

The 2026/27 Proposed District School Calendar includes the following:

  • a two-week winter break from Monday, December 21, 2026, to Friday, January 1, 2027;
  • a two-week spring break from Monday, March 15 to Thursday, March 25, 2027 (excluding Kanaka Creek Elementary); and
  • Thursday, June 24, 2027, as the last instructional day for students.

2026/27 Proposed Kanaka Creek Elementary School Calendar

The 2026/27 Proposed Kanaka Creek Elementary School Calendar includes the following:

  • a winter break from Monday, December 7, 2026, to Friday, January 1, 2027;
  • a spring break from Tuesday, March 30 to Friday, April 23, 2027; and
  • Friday, July 23, 2027, as the last instructional day for students.
