Programs

Ready Set Learn

Ready Set Learn is a free early learning program that welcomes preschoolers (3 and 4 year olds) and their families to School District No. 42 and helps them get ready for success in school.

Children will have opportunities to try play-based early learning activities as well as crafts, songs and story time. The sessions, held at a number of schools across the district, are designed to provide families with guidance and good information about how to support their children’s early learning and help them build a positive attitude towards school.

A parent handbook, available at: www.bced.gov.bc.ca/early_learning/rsl/ gives many helpful tips to support child development in these important early years.

Each child who attends will receive a storybook. Parents will receive a folder with helpful tips.
