Thank you for your interest in our school district.  School District No. 42 meets the learning needs of approximately 15,000 students of all ages in Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows. We have developed numerous skilled trades training partnerships with colleges and universities, and are committed to educational choice and an inclusive, local approach to special education.

Our vision is for every individual to feel valued, and for all learners to reach their full potential. We make decisions based on research and consultation, take pride in striving for consistency throughout the organization as guided by our vision, and endeavour to stay true to our core values.

Our staff members are the foundation of our system. Becoming a part of the school district team means joining a talented community of educators and support staff dedicated to enriching the lives of all students and helping them achieve success. We are committed to promoting and supporting employee growth and learning, and offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes a pension plan, dental, medical insurance, and much more.

Our objective is to consistently hire and retain employees who have a desire for excellence and to ensure that our recruitment and selection practices are fair to both current employees and external candidates.
