DESCRIPTION:YOUR VOICE\, YOUR SCHOOL \nJoin us for a special public input session on the design of the new Eric Langton Elementary School. Station One Architects and school district staff will be on site on April 13\, 2023\, to present a draft of the design and collect your ideas on the general use of the building\, the site\, and on program suggestions for the Neighbourhood Learning Centre (NLC) hosted in the new school. Refreshments will be served. \nDate: Thursday\, April 13\, 2023 \nDoors Open: 5:30 PM\nPresentation and Engagement: 6:00 – 8:00 PM \nLocation: Eric Langton Elementary School (gym)\, 12138 Edge St\, Maple Ridge \nPlease RSVP to register@sd42.ca by noon\, Tuesday\, April 11\, 2023. \nThose who are unable to attend in-person but would like to participate in the process will have an opportunity to provide feedback through an online survey\, which will run from April 14 to April 28\, 2023.  \nWe hope you can join us and look forward to hearing your ideas.  \nAdditional information about the school replacement:\nConstruction on the new building will start in 2024 and the new school is expected to be ready for occupancy by fall 2025. The new facility will have a capacity of 80 Kindergarten and 600 grade 1 to 7 spaces and a neighbourhood learning centre\, and will be built according to LEED Gold Standards\, incorporating energy-saving measures to reduce greenhouse emissions.
