DESCRIPTION:Thomas Haney Secondary \n 23000 116 Ave\, Maple Ridge.    \n  \nLAST (Life After School Transition) Committee is a group of service providers in Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows that work to support and empower young people with diverse abilities to transition into life after high school.  \nThe Transition Tuesdays Speaker Series\, hosted by the Maple Ridge – Pitt Meadows School District\, continues on May 8\, May 29 and June 5 at Thomas Haney Secondary\, from 6:30 pm – 8 pm. \nThe information sessions are designed to support parents in accessing many of the ministry and community services that enable an inclusive and smooth transition for high school students into the community. DESCRIPTION:Blue Mountain Elementary (school library)\n12153 – 248 Street\nMaple Ridge \nDue to the need to accommodate ongoing elementary enrolment growth both in the Blue Mountain catchment and more broadly in the East Capital Zone of the district\, the Maple Ridge – Pitt Meadows School District recently applied to move the StrongStart Centre located at Blue Mountain Elementary to Garibaldi Secondary school. The district has now received approval from the Ministry of Education for this move\, which will come into effect September 1\, 2018. \nThe school district highly values the early learning programming support that our StrongStart program provides to the Blue Mountain community and surrounding communities\, and is therefore pleased to be able to retain this program in the neighbourhood it is intended to serve. \nAssistant Superintendent David Vandergugten\, who oversees StrongStart programming in our school district\, will attend the Thursday\, June 7\, 2018* PAC meeting in the school library at Blue Mountain Elementary at 7:00 pm to share further details and to answer any questions. Blue Mountain Elementary is located 12153 – 248 Street\, Maple Ridge.
