To learn more about creating a Parent Portal account\, please visit: https://parents.sd42.ca. \nAbout this program\nThe SD42 Late French Immersion program is an excellent opportunity for students who want to learn French as another language and are looking for a challenge. Students learn French while learning all subject areas of the curriculum. \nBeginning in the 2026/27 school year\, this program is moving from Golden Ears Elementary to École Eric Langton (Eric Langton Elementary). \nStudents who are currently in Grade 5 are eligible to begin Late French Immersion in September 2026 at École Eric Langton. This two-year elementary program continues at Maple Ridge Secondary School until Grade 12\, when students can graduate with a dual Dogwood. \nAbout the registration process\nTimestamp\nAll registrations are date and time-stamped once you start the registration form. Please ensure all sections are accurate. If you are registering twins\, a registration form for each child must be completed. \nConfirmation Email\nOnce you submit your registration form\, you will receive a confirmation email that your application has been received. If you do not receive this email within 24 hours (check your junk/spam folders)\, please contact the IT Services Help Desk at 604-466-6248.  \nConfirmation of Acceptance\nYou will receive a confirmation email of the status of your transfer request once your request has been processed. Once your child’s registration in the program has been approved and confirmed\, your space will be released from your current school and your child will attend the Late French Immersion program at École Eric Langton in September 2026. \nWaitlist\nThere are a limited number of spaces in the Late French Immersion program.
