Cyber bullies are now replacing playground bullies at an alarming rate and the need to protect our kids is great. Efforts to curb bullying are failing and children are being wounded at the hands of their peers like never before. \nProtecting our children from bullies is possible when we understand the modus operandi driving bullies\, how to thwart attacks\, and guide our children through situations where bullies are involved. Parents and educators often feel helpless to protect children from bullies but there is much we can do to address this age-old problem. \nBIO: Dr. Deborah MacNamara is the director of the Kid’s Best Bet Counselling and Family Resource Centre\, is on faculty at the Neufeld Institute\, and is the author of the book Rest\, Play\, Grow: Making Sense of Preschoolers (or anyone who acts like one). DESCRIPTION:Hammond Elementary11520 – 203rd StreetMaple Ridge \nBased on the groundbreaking work of Dr. Gordon Neufeld\, this free presentation will address how children are meant to be in right relationship with their adults. It will clarify what it means ‘to be in charge’ through the lens of attachment\, discerning how we were meant to lead by having natural authority as we raise our children. \nThere is an increasing number of children who are moving to take charge in the home\, making parenting and teaching them a challenge. From exhaustion in the adult to an insatiability in the child\, our kids are falling out of relationship with us.
