Westview kids off to worlds

Three students from Westview secondary are ranked No. 1 in Canada in the Microsoft Office National Competition, and will move on to the world championships.

Nash Taylor won on Excel, Phillip MacBride on Word and Trevor Dean for PowerPoint.

The trio will now be competing and representing Canada in the 2015 Microsoft Office Specialist World Championship.

Last year, the Microsoft Office Specialist World Championship attracted 400,000 unique participants and more are expected this year.

The event will be held in Dallas, Texas, and the three boys have won an all-expenses paid trip, on Aug. 10.
