School District No. 42 will offer a selection of courses in Grades 10-12. Students will complete full course offerings in 100 hours or remedial course offerings in 40 hours over the summer. There will be no opportunity for remedial courses at the grade 11-12 level, only full course Summer Learning
We will be running Summer Learning similar to last year with full (100 hour courses) for courses at Grade 10, 11 and 12 and remedial (40 hour courses) for courses at Grade 10. All courses will be held at Riverside Centre and will run from Monday, July 4 through to Friday, July 29 (report cards will be distributed on July 29).
Summer Learning will run five days a week from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm. As was done last year, each school will receive a quota for the number of students they can refer to each course. This will be open to students who wish/need to repeat the course (priority) or those who wish to complete one course in the summer to make more room on their Fall timetable. High School students need to see their High school counselor or principal to fill out an application package. It will be up to the school to refer only those students they recommend for Summer Learning. No registrations will be accepted at Riverside Centre, except for out of district applicants.
