Summer Learning is designed for students in grades 8 and 9 who require more time to learn, beyond what they are able to accomplish in regular session from September to June. Summer Learning is intended to support students who are at risk of not moving forward in their educational program leading to graduation.
Students will only be admitted into Summer Learning – Grades 8/9 on the recommendation of their teachers, counselors, and school principal. Students must also successfullly complete an application which includes answering the following questions:
- Why do you want to go to Summer Learning?
- How is attendance at Summer Learning going to help you reach your goals?
- What worked well for you this year?
- What could we do differently so you won’t have to go to Summer Learning in the future?
Please check back at the end of MARCH 2012 for the 2011 - 2012 Summer Learning Application for grade 8 - 9
