A special invitation for families with preschoolers

Ready Set Learn is a free early learning program that welcomes preschoolers (3 and 4 year olds) and their families to School District No. 42 and helps them get ready for success in school.

Children will have opportunities to try play-based early learning activities as well as crafts, songs and story time. The sessions, held at a number of schools across the district, are designed to provide families with guidance and good information about how to support their children’s early learning and help them build a positive attitude towards school.   A parent handbook, available at: many helpful tips to support child development in these important early years.

Each child who attends receives a free gift bag that includes a storybook and early-learning materials such as magnetic letters, scissors, glue and construction paper to continue to build skills at home.

Registration is required for ALL Ready Set Learn events on a first-come, first-served basis. Families are welcome to register for multiple events.    Click here to register.
