A special invitation for families with preschoolers
Ready Set Learn is a free early learning program that welcomes preschoolers and their families to School District No. 42 and helps them get ready for success in school.
Children will have opportunities to try play-based early learning activities as well as crafts, songs and story time. The sessions, held at a number of schools across the district, are designed to provide families with guidance and good information about how to support their children’s early learning and help them build a positive attitude towards school. A parent handbook, available at: www.bced.gov.bc.ca/early_learning/rsl/ gives many helpful tips to support child development in these important early years.
Each child who attends receives a free gift bag that includes a storybook and early-learning materials such as magnetic letters, scissors, glue and construction paper to continue to build skills at home.
Registration is required for ALL Ready Set Learn events on a first-come, first-served basis. To register for a Ready Set Learn event, navigate to our RSL Registration page at http://www.sd42.ca/rsl-registration
