A Day in the Life of Poverty
If you are concerned with poverty in our communities then be part of this informative day! We will address questions you may have, such as: What is poverty? What are we doing about poverty? What resources (local and regional) are available to decrease poverty and assist residents in poverty? Who can I network with to make a difference? How can I advocate against poverty?
Dr. Paul Kershaw, researcher and advocate against poverty, local MLA’s Michael Sather and Marc Dalton, Michael McCarthy Flynn from First Call and 3 community representatives will speak to poverty and help to answer questions.
Included in the day: Discussion by panel, including Dr. Paul Kershaw’s opening, entertainment, lunch, resources, networking, and question period. Child care is not available for this event.
Please bring donations for our local Foodbank if possible.
