  • Khalsa Credit Union. Outstanding Academic, Sports, Sikh Religious Achievement and Bursary Application Form. 5 Academic Scholarships of $1,500 each; 5 Religious Scholarships of $1,500 each; 3 Sports Scholarships of $1,250 each; 5 Bursaries of $1,250 each.   • Maple Ridge Pitt Meadows Arts Council Scholarships. Application deadline: April 1, 2012. The Maple Ridge Pitt Meadows Arts Council is offering five $1000 Arts Scholarships in the following 5 categories: Visual Arts & Media Arts, Music, Drama & Theatre, Dance, Literary Arts.   • Youth Engagement Program at Engineers Without Borders Canada: Get Outside Your World Contest. The grade 12 winner of the Get Outside Your World Contest will receive a $1000 untied scholarship and the grade 9 - 11 winner will receive a $500 prize. Both winners will be flown to Engineers Without Borders' National Conference 2013 in Calgary, Alberta, where they will collaborate with the EWB team to deliver a workshop to over 700 University Students, engineering professionals, and international development experts.   • The Ridge Meadows Educational Foundation Grant. Through its grants program, the Ridge Meadows Educational Foundation accepts grant applications from Schools (teachers, principals), Parent Advisory Committees, and Educational Partners to provide funds for enhanced fine arts, sports and specialty programs in School District No.42.   • The BC School Superintendents Association and Apple Canada invite students in Grades 6 - 12 to design a website for an opportunity to receive a TECHNOLOGY SCHOLARSHIP! Learn about the details of this scholarship here.
  • The BC School Superintendents Association will award 6 scholarships to students planning to pursue post-secondary studies in education. Learn about the details of this scholarship here.
  • Phil Cooper Construction Award. Value: $500 gift certificate from a local building supplies business, e.g., Haney Builders or Rona. This is a category B Award. Please see details in the Scholarship Book for this category. 
    Description: The student must be graduating from SD 42's Construction Trades Training Apprenticeship Program.

    Criteria:
    a) the student should be pursuing a career in the trades and must have completed level one technical training in their carpentry apprenticeship field.
    b) the student must have demonstrated a high level of achievement in their program.
    c) the student must have made a positive contribution to their school and / or to their program of study.
    d) the student must have successfully completed all of their graduation requirements.
     

    Note:  The award recipient will be selected by the carpentry trades instructor(s) in consultation with the District Career Programs Teacher.

  • Mission Community Foundation,  2012 Bursary/Scholarship – Deadline 4 pm, February 28, 2012
