It was a day of celebration at Eric Langton Elementary School, as grade three and four students in Mme. Daniels class were given their award for winning the Under 11 category in this year’s Sing Me a Song program.
The students then preformed the song that won, We are Canada, in front of Lieutenant-Governor of British Columbia, Judith Guichon, and other students at the school. Schools, community choirs and amateur musical groups were invited to write and perform an original song in celebration of Canada’s 150th birthday.
