Introduction

In cloud computing, the word “cloud” (also called “the cloud”) is used as a metaphor for “the Internet.” So the phrase cloud computing means “a type of Internet-based computing,” where different services — such as servers, storage and applications — are delivered to an organization’s computers and devices through the Internet.

MyEducation BC

MyEducation BC provides secure access to a single educational record for students no matter where they learn in British Columbia. Teachers, students and parents can use features in MyEducation BC to collaborate and plan a more personalized learning experience for students.

MyClass

MyClass is a gateway to the provincial Student Information System (MyEducation BC) that will enable parents/guardians to connect directly with their child’s teachers. This gateway is a separate system from the School District No. 42 Parent Portal.

Parent Portal

School District No. 42’s Parent Portal allows parents/guardians to register their child for kindergarten, fill in school forms, sign off on field trips, receive timely school and school district communications, make secure payments online, and much more.
