Child care hours (September to June)
8:00 am to 4:30 pm Monday to Thursday
8:00 am to 3:30 pm on Fridays
Located at Maple Ridge Secondary School, Future Steps helps you complete your high school education while providing a nurturing child care environment for your baby – right in school!
Take self-paced courses in our young parent classrooms or join regular high school classes. Classes are flexible so you can attend to your child when the need arises. You will learn parenting and life skills through courses, guest speakers and child care staff.
You can even join the program before you give birth: prenatal classes are available for pregnant teens. For those with learning disabilities, special assistance is available.
The child care centre has space for 12 infants and 12 toddlers ranging from newborn to 3 years of age.
Staff are fully trained and qualified in early childhood education.
