2016 Leaders of Tomorrow: Mia Prinsloo – Pitt Meadows Elementary

During the 2015-16 school year, Mia attended Pitt Meadows Elementary. Mia is one of those rare treasures that comes around every so often. She brings out the best in others and makes Pitt Meadows Elementary a better place. Mia’s classmates have many positive things to say about her.

“Mia is always friendly and enthusiastic – for example today she offered to hold everybody’s coats while we played kickball!” “She never complains.” “Mia is cheerful – she’s always good at making friends.”

Mia’s projects are always outstanding. Her work sets the standard for others to follow. “When you see them you say… Oh wow!”

Mia is a peacemaker. When other people are fighting or crying she always tries to help and make everyone feel better. She encourages others to try their best and overcome challenges. “Mia is famous for saying, “You can do this!”

She’s like a pre-teen superhero because she’s super talented, super funny and super nice.

About Leaders of Tomorrow

The Maple Ridge – Pitt Meadows School District (SD42) has teamed up with the Maple Ridge News to celebrate local students who are making a difference at school and in the community. Elementary and secondary students featured as Leaders of Tomorrow were picked by their principals for making positive achievements in academics, sports, arts and community involvement.

The list is just a sample of outstanding students in the school district selected by their school during the 2015/16 school year – there are many others  who were equally deserving of recognition for their exemplary achievements both inside and outside the classroom. ?

Every Tuesday throughout the school year, SD42 will profile a student selected as one of the 2016 Leaders of Tomorrow.
