2016 Leaders of Tomorrow: Hayley Leatherdale – Pitt Meadows Secondary

During the 2015-16 school year Hayley attended Pitt Meadows Secondary. Hayley is an energetic student who has made a huge difference in the lives of many.

She has been a driving force behind the ‘Save the Children’ initiative as well as a number of leadership activities. These have included spirit week and school rallies in addition to Mental Health Week.

Within the Lower Mainland, Hayley has been instrumental in fundraising to support both the Downtown Eastside Women’s shelter as well as the local Caring Place.

She has recently been inspired by a program called iCanHelp which addresses social media issues. Hayley has an older brother and enjoys skiing, golfing, taekwando and the outdoors.  PMSS is very proud of her.

The list is just a sample of outstanding students in the school district selected by their school during the 2015/16 school year – there are many others  who were equally deserving of recognition for their exemplary achievements both inside and outside the classroom.

Every Tuesday throughout the school year, SD42 will profile a student selected as one of the 2016 Leaders of Tomorrow.
