2018 Leaders of Tomorrow: Farzan Ghorbani – Glenwood

Farzan is an exceptional example of what Glenwood strives to achieve every day as a community.

He is an extremely mature student for his age, is respectful of all people at Glenwood and has fostered wonderful relationships with his peers, adults, and little buddies. He arrives at school each day with a positive attitude and is always willing to help as we have seen daily in our lunch program. He helps clean up after lunch club, not because he is asked to help, but because he wants to help.

Showing this pride in his school community is a very special quality that Farzan has and he quietly leads by setting a positive example. He has excellent manners and helps to set such a positive example for all students in our school community. Farzan works hard on all of his classwork, even if he finds the language barrier challenging and is willing to ask for help when he needs it. His smile and sense of humour are infectious and so valued by all those he comes in contact with.

About Leaders of Tomorrow

The Maple Ridge – Pitt Meadows School District (SD42) has teamed up with the Maple Ridge News to celebrate local students who are making a difference at school and in the community. Elementary and secondary students featured as Leaders of Tomorrow were picked by their principals for making positive achievements in academics, sports, arts and community involvement.

The list is just a sample of outstanding students in the school district selected by their school during the 2017/18 school year – there are many others who were equally deserving of recognition for their exemplary achievements both inside and outside the classroom.

Every Tuesday throughout the school year, SD42 will profile a student selected as one of the 2018 Leaders of Tomorrow.
