2017 Leaders of Tomorrow: Evan Biles – Hammond

During the 2016-17 school year, Evan was a Grade 7 in Ms. Tracey’s class. In his time at Hammond, Evan has quietly become a real leader. With his friendly, positive personality all students enjoy being around Evan.

A peer describes Evan as “a real cool guy. Although quiet, he talks a lot and he has a good sense of humour. He is emotionally mature and is always doing the right thing.”

Staff are impressed with how Evan is able to work with and support everyone. Evan has volunteered many hours to our school by taking photographs and creating slideshows for assemblies.

Outside of school Evan enjoys photography, playing ball hockey, Parkour, hanging out with friends, and being with family. This year Evan is attending Westview Secondary.

About Leaders of Tomorrow

The Maple Ridge – Pitt Meadows School District (SD42) has teamed up with the Maple Ridge News to celebrate local students who are making a difference at school and in the community. Elementary and secondary students featured as Leaders of Tomorrow were picked by their principals for making positive achievements in academics, sports, arts and community involvement.

The list is just a sample of outstanding students in the school district selected by their school during the 2016/17 school year – there are many others  who were equally deserving of recognition for their exemplary achievements both inside and outside the classroom.

Every Tuesday throughout the school year, SD42 will profile a student selected as one of the 2017 Leaders of Tomorrow.
