2017 Leaders of Tomorrow: Jaida Clancy – Pitt Meadows Elementary

Jaida is a go-getter with big dreams that she turns into reality. She is always thinking about how to do more for her school and community and doesn’t let anything get in her way.

She started a student garden club from scratch at the school and made a presentation to the PAC to ask for funding, as well as putting letters out to the community asking for donations. She works diligently on the garden on her own time and takes great pride in watching it take shape.

Jaida is also an active member of our Student Leadership group and goes out of her way to contribute to all activities they plan, such as Spirit Days, fundraisers for many worthwhile causes and modeling caring and responsible behavior for our younger students.

Jaida is a key member of our school community with wonderful creativity and determination. She has a very bright future ahead of her.

About Leaders of Tomorrow

The Maple Ridge – Pitt Meadows School District (SD42) has teamed up with the Maple Ridge News to celebrate local students who are making a difference at school and in the community. Elementary and secondary students featured as Leaders of Tomorrow were picked by their principals for making positive achievements in academics, sports, arts and community involvement.

The list is just a sample of outstanding students in the school district selected by their school during the 2016/17 school year – there are many others  who were equally deserving of recognition for their exemplary achievements both inside and outside the classroom.

Every Tuesday throughout the school year, SD42 will profile a student selected as one of the 2017 Leaders of Tomorrow.
