Special Instructions for Education Assistants

To work as an education assistant in Maple Ridge-Pitt Meadows, applicants must possess the necessary qualifications which include successful completion of Grade 12 plus the Special Education Teaching Assistant (SETA) program or equivalent plus successful experience working with individuals with special needs. They must be registered as an internal candidates in order to locate and view internal posted job vacancies.

If you are interested in working as an education assistant however, you do not possess the required SETA certification, you can find out more information on obtaining the certification through Ridge Meadows College at RMC SETA program

To be considered for the education assistant casual list, potential candidates must complete an application form.

Please ensure the following documents are included with your application form in your application package:

  1. Cover letter with resume
  2. Photocopies of certification
  3. Photocopies of your practicum reports
  4. Photocopies your academic transcripts(s), most recent available
