Trustees

The Maple Ridge – Pitt Meadows Board of Education is comprised of five Trustees representing the community of Maple Ridge and two Trustees representing the community of Pitt Meadows. Trustees are elected every four years at the same time as the mayor and city council for the two municipalities.

Mike Murray, Chairperson

Board representative to the Ridge Meadows Education Foundation, BCSTA Provincial Council, BCSTA Fraser Valley Branch, Municipal Advisory Committee on Accessibility Issues, Exempt Staff Group, French Immersion Advisory, Facilities Planning, Policy Development Committee, Roundtable with Partner Groups Committee and Social Planning Advisory Committee. Worked with Secretary Treasurer and Superintendent on 2013, Strategic Planning Review Process.

Susan Carr, Vice Chairperson

Board representative to the Ridge Meadows Education Foundation, Aboriginal Education Advisory Committee, the Education Advisory Committee, Tzu Chi Foundation, Facilities Planning, Social Planning Advisory Committee and the Policy Development Committee.

Lisa Beare, Trustee

Korleen Carreras, Trustee

Trustee, Maple Ridge – Pitt Meadows Board of Education. Board representative to the Aboriginal Education Committee, Inclusive Education Committee, MRTA, and BCSTA Provincial Council.

Ken Clarkson, Trustee

Trustee, Maple Ridge – Pitt Meadows Board of Education. Board representative to CUPE, the Inclusive Education Committee, alternate trustee representative for BCPSEA, and the Chair of the Round Table with Partner Groups Committee.

Eleanor Palis, Trustee

Board representative to the Joint Parks and Leisure Services Commission, French Immersion Advisory Committee, and the Aboriginal Education Advisory Committee.

Dr. Dave Rempel, Trustee

Board representative to the Joint Parks and Leisure Services Commission, the Maple Ridge-Pitt Meadows Arts Council, the Tzu Chi Foundation, Facilities Planning, Education Advisory Committee and the MRPVPA. He is also a citizen member and Chair of the Board for the Ridge Meadows Education Foundation.
